My sister and I recently held an estate sale to clear out our dad's apartment in Back Bay. We decided to hire Maggie and team, and are so happy that we did. She was professional throughout - from staging the items to bringing in specialists to assess specific pieces to referring us to outside vendors we needed (piano consignment guy, electrician to remove and pack a fixture for us, clean-out service for our last bits and bobs, etc.) She was incredibly responsive, and put up with my sister's and my many changes to what we wanted to take from the apartment. And if all that wasn't enough, she kept selling for us after the sale. The day the clean-out service came, we still had three big pieces of furniture left. I was dreading his quote to haul them away. Maggie managed to sell all three before he had to haul them. She kept working for us until the bitter end. By the end, I was calling her the "Goddess of Estate Sales." It's tough to go through an estate sale. You watch your family's things disappear bit by bit. Maggie reminded us that we were spreading our dad's legacy into the streets and neighborhoods he loved. Maggie and Jim did an absolutely incredible job (from start to finish) managing an estate sale for me following my mother's death. I had the daunting task of having to clear out the contents of my mother's 13-bedroom Victorian so I could place the home on the market for sale. I don't live nearby and needed to find an estate sale company I could trust to handle the sale without my involvement. My mother was also a bit of a hoarder and the home was literally filled to capacity with furniture, clothing, and other household items. As soon as I met Maggie and Jim I felt at ease and knew I was in good hands. Maggie and Jim seem to really have a love and passion for what they do. Not only were they able to sell virtually every single item in the home, but they also coordinated gathering additional items from the garages of two other properties my mother owned to add to the sale, and hired a police detail given how large the sale was, both at no additional charge to me. I felt that Maggie extensively researched and strategically priced all of the items that were sold so as to get the best selling price possible. And, following the sale, Maggie coordinated donating any items that were not sold. This really was one of the best experiences I have ever had hiring someone to render a professional service. I have been to a number of estate sales run by different companies, and my experience with Hunt Estate Sales has been the best by far. I stumbled across my first Hunt estate sale this past weekend because it was in the town where I live. Maggie and her crew were so welcoming and charming, and so nice to do business with. I actually went to the estate sale twice - once when it first opened, and then later in the afternoon. Maggie's prices were more than fair. She and her staff were polite and kind and friendly! I can't say the same about staff from other companies - many who seem to have attitude and simply take the fun out of the "hunt."

On March 12 th of this year Maggie and Jim held an estate sale at my mothers property in North Wermouth . I was apprehensive at first but soon eased into one of the most pleasurable experiences I have ever had, their caring and attention to detail is second to none. They are professional, tireless, and upbeat as they solve all your downsizing issues in front of your eyes. Within days they: -sorted through 31 years of accumulation in a large home and barn -moved all the contents of the barn to the house -emptied the attic into the downstairs of the house -actually repaired a couple of items for sale -amazingly priced all items with exacting market knowledge and in consultation with expert appraisers as needed, including finding value among jewelry items that surprised even us -securely staged everything in a manner so appealing and coordinated that even the cellar was attractive -photographed the displays and marketed them widely, including to their large social media following. The morning of the sale there was a line outside the doors and cars appeared from 4 states. After a successful sale, Maggie still managed to sell some items and organized a final removal service that finished the job. We promptly received a thorough itemized accounting of the sale and the welcomed proceeds. We recommend Hunt Estate Sales without reservation. The job Maggie and Jim did for us was an education, a huge relief, and gave us a chance to meet two of the more interesting and enjoyable people we have the pleasure to know.
